Ichabod Graben is a lebendtod-spawned ghast pack leader that resides on Todstein. Like the rest of the Hungry Dead residing there, his teeth have been filed off (preventing the spread of ghoul fever), as have his claws (keeping him from dealing lethal damage, but not preventing the use of his paralysis ability, which is why Meredoth keeps him and the other ghasts of Todstein around). Ichabod is an example of one of Meredoth's many experiments—he has been given the Memory Drain Walking Dead Salient Ability. Meredoth makes regular use of said ability.[1]
Meredoth imprisons the ghasts in cages most of the time in the Hall of Flesh, releasing them regularly to dine on animal flesh in the Boneyard or to consume the flesh of cadavers he needs turned into skeletons.[2]
Ichabod Graben is nephew of Colin Graben, whom he hates.[1] For his part, Colin is disturbed and even disgusted by Ichabod's nature.[3]
