First mentioned in the article "Little Horrors[1]", Equus Vecors is among the most feared of the Loa or Spirits that are recognized by the Chi-Folken of the domain of Madego.
In the mythology of the Chi-Folken, Equus Vecors gallops endlessly through the swamps of the world and the fever-dreams of its mortal inhabitants. In its negative aspect, its sweat contains every disease of mind and body known to mortalkind, and it will joyously spread them as it moves through the world. In its positive aspect, however, it is known as a spirit of unbridled passion. The Chi-Folken regularly invoke Equus Vecors to lend fire to their dances and music when they call upon the other Spirits, both to honour it and to hopefully appease it into taking its "blessing" of disease and madness far away from them.
Relationships
Although Equus Vecors is the bearer of all sickness, the diseases are born out of the endless bounty of Bovis Mater. This suggests a symbiotic relationship - or more - between these two quadruped spirits, but nothing specific has been stated.
Appearance
When depicted or manifested, Equus Vecors is a great, black stallion. Its teeth are bared in a mad grin and its eyes roll crazily, but its body is an icon of equine perfection.
