Darcey Gillingham was a Presiding Mother of the Church of Belenus during the early years after the formation of Nidala. In 638 BC she confronted Elena Faith-hold about changes which Faith-hold had introduced to The Libram of Belenus, never anticipating the severity of Elena's reaction. Gillingham was imprisoned and later hung as a heretic.[1]

Following her death, Darcey Gillingham was been called The Apostate Mother and venerated by those who object to Elena Faith-hold's twisting of the faith and words of Belenus. The same title is used as an insult by those who are loyal to Elena Faith-hold.[2]
