Bildrath is an NPC from the 1st Edition module Ravenloft I6 and its later edition reboots. He is resident of the Village of Barovia who runs Bildrath's Mercantile and offers a variety of goods from the Player's Handbook. However, he is selfish man and a quick exploiter of those needing his goods. Bildrath relies on his stock boy and nephew, Parriwimple for protection.[1][2]
According to Domains of Dread, the module I6 takes place in year 528 BC.[3] Thus, Bildrath is likely to be deceased in the modern Ravenloft timeline.
In Expedition to Castle Ravenloft
In this 3rd Edition reboot of I6, Bildrath is not merely selfish; he is a spy for Lucian. He refers people who seek shelter from the zombie plague to the Blood o' the Vine Inn across the street.[4]
In Curse of Strahd
In CoS, Bildrath's full name is revealed to be Bildrath Cantemir.[5]
