Bhairava is the deity worshipped by the Skull-Bearers. According to Rajian legends, the god Brahman once had five heads until he offended Bhairava, who cut off Brahman's fifth head and now bears the skull. Bhairava is also known as the lord of ghosts.[1]
Despite his association with the dead and undead, Bhairava is not an evil god. Death is a natural part of life, no matter how terrible it may sometimes seem.[1]
