Beatrice Weldon

Beatrice Weldon is a minor character from Heaven's Bones. She is the wife of Dr. Alistair Weldon and mother of Frances Weldon. While she did not participate in her husband's vile medical experiments, she concealed the depravity of them from Frances and also covered up Sadie's murder. When the Riverbend plantation was razed, she was caught in the fire. Yet despite being badly burned, she somehow escaped the blaze and survivedc- whether due to will of the Dark Powers or perverse surgical intervention by Dr. Weldon - to be taken to the domain of Riverbend with her husband and the ghost of her child. Now she is but a disfigured shadow of her former self. Dr. Weldon eventually captures Henry Thorpe and forces him to produce wings for her like he did for the Angels of Dr. Sebastian Robarts.
