Sarah Winchester

Sarah Winchester is the wife of the deceased gunmaker William Winchester. He and their child Annie Winchester both died from disease. After these deaths, Sarah Winchester grew obsessed with contacting them from the grave, hiring mediums to conduct seances. A Vistani eventually told Sarah that she was cursed by the ghosts of those who died by her husband's firearms. She could only delay her fate by eternally building the Winchester House to confuse and elude the spirits that dogged her. Since then, Sarah Winchester has become a powerful medium in her own right and has the house being worked on at all hours of the day every day. [1]
