• A falling star lights up the night sky in eastern Falkovnia before crash landing near the thorp of Delmunster. The falling star proved to be, or to contain, a doppelganger plant that would devastate the community. The Hospice of the Doe is lost amid the destruction.
• Lord Soth becomes reclusive and withdraws into private revelries of the past.
• Sundered Heart challenges Zhone Clieous for title of Meistersinger of Harmonia, but is defeated at the last minute due to an unlikely loss of voice.
• Prince Othmar appoints the incorruptible Sturm Androv, endorsed by ]]Tristen Hiregaard]], Constable of the Kantora City Guard.
• Sundered Heart reveals himself as Casimir and ousts Zhone Clieous from power by exposing him as a werewolf. Casimir confronts Zhone at the Crystal Club and kills him.
• The Vistana Cyrilla's niece Vassa is kidnapped near Corvia.
• Vassa returns as a clay golem; Cyrilla writes to Dr. Van Richten.
• The corpse of Madeline Stern is fished up from the depths of the Sea of Sorrows, as the 2nd Verse of Hyskosa's Hexad comes to pass.
• Dr. Van Richten publishes the Van Richten's Guide to the Lich.
• (Near year's end) Casimir is also ousted as a werewolf and driven from town. He is said to have perished soon after.
• After Carnagan Wolfe discovers the dead body of a friend and encounters the vampire who murdered him, Wolfe transforms into a mountain loup-garou for the first time. He has no memory of it, so he is Horrified to find the vampire torn to pieces when he regains his wits. Carnagan rushes to Lian for a cure. Lian discerns that Carnagan is a natural lycanthrope, preventing any kind of cure. Wolfe flees Dementlieu forever, eventually drifting to Verbrek.
