The Nobleman Ghost tore a hole in the fabric of the planes in order to steal his deceased wife away from the afterlife. Instead he found himself trapped in a state somewhere between life and death, that of a ghost. His continued efforts to wrangle his wife's spirit weakens the barrier between the worlds of the living and the dead, allowing evil ghosts to leak into the Nobleman Ghost's domain.[1]
