Former owner of the Old Cypress Plantation. Committed suicide after Alvina, thhe maid, poisoned his wife, Nanette LaLaurie and two daughters, Nadine LaLaurie and Verette LaLaurie. In the Ghosts of Old Cypress dread possibility, he, along with his family and the maid, linger on as ghosts even as the Old Cypress stands abandoned by the living.[1]
