Lamordia Revisited

In many ways, Lamordia is the most advanced culture in all of Ravenloft. Above all they pursue science, dismissing magic almost entirely. This sort of attitude breeds scientific inventions, and as such, they are the most open to non-magical ideas.

In my campaign, my players are role-playing themselves trapped in Ravenloft. Their real-world knowledges of the sciences could be most helpful in this domain if only they could work out which information is worth the most.

Chemical inventions such as anesthesia and chloroform were not available in real history until the middle part of the 19th century, in the Victorian era. Lamordia at best represents late 18th century Germany or Switzerland.
