The Man with the Ratter's Pole- a shabby old fellow who may have witnessed Pierre Renault's death. He discovered the body at the base of the tower from which it had fallen, certainly.

The Strange Old Man of the Empty Quarter- a wild looking grey haired man, dressed in rags. He is sometimes accompanied by a pack of vicious feral dogs, who seem quite friendly to him- although not to others.
Delight is to him- a far, far upward, and inward delight- who against the proud gods and commodores of this earth, ever stands forth his own inexorable self.

Dorgio Varga is tall and rather lank, a rarity among Barovians. His features suggest a Vistani heritage; his hair and drooping mustache are jet black and his piercing green eyes stand out against his dusky complexion. He wears an ornately brocaded black cloak and a suit of highly burnished banded mail. An ornate shortspear is slung across his back along with a light crossbow. His clothing is rough and undyed. He can often be seen with a smoldering cigarillo dangling from his tight lips, which casts an air of incongrous modernity onto his otherwise backwater appearance. On his left hand is a painstakingly wrought tattoo of a rising sun.

Age: 23

Bears an uncanny resemblance to Eugene Hutz

Odall- owner of a riverfront cafe, native of Arkandale.

Konstans- one of several Gundarakite refugees

and his young niece, Anja

Van Willen-deceased- Chief archivist at the Cathedral of Ezra
-killed by Doctor Zoltan-

Irena- a young acolyte at the Cathedral, native of Borca

Clement Malreux [deceased]- crime boss, merchant
-killed by the heroes in a fight on his boat

Pierre Renault [deceased  ] -shady merchant, connected with criminals-
Fell to his death while trying to escape from Norzak. Rose from the grave as a druagr. The heroes fought the unholy creature, cut off one arm, and set it on fire. It plunged into the river and has not been seen since.....
EDIT- Renault was destroyed in the fight below the Grim Bastion.

''The Doctor''- at first a mysterious figure known to our heroes only by reputation, he later made himself known.
''Euh...euh...the Doctor! Yes! He's a strange man. All skin and bones, and looks as if the sun's a stranger to him. He hangs around boneyards, rubbing papers against old gravestones. Dunno why he does that. He stitches folks up when they get cut , and mixes medicines in his workshop. His place is down near the river, near the Court of Crows- you know, where the Great Gallows stand. ''
edit- The evil Doctor was slain by our interpid heroes in a battle beneath the Grim Bastion, a fight in which the undead reenault was also destroyed.

Jonathan Maytr is a very strong and healthy looking boy of about 15. With full, thick red hair, and striking green eyes, young Jonathan is an attractive sight to behold. Highly charismatic, Jonathan often keeps the company of women double his age. There is a grace to his movements which acrobats would envy. He wears simple clothing, mostly to do with his impoverished condition. An ornately decorated silver knife with the pommel shaped like the claw of a black bird is Jonathans main possession, and he will fight to the death to protect it.

recently Jonathan has been uncovered as a serial murderer and a lycanthrope.

Kortai

Post by Kortai »

How many times do you have to touch the fire before you know that it's hot? Kortai seems harmless enough, but with him, you never know what you are going to get. He acts without malicious intent, but somehow he manages to inspire both the best and the worst in people. Kortai has an extreme personality that people either love or hate, and very few people fall between.

(For the record, and for those of you who know me, I have no intention of adopting the title Lord Kortai.)

the Three Mikloses

Miklos #1[deceased]- a Gundarakite man, tortured by Dorgio and his fellow rebels on suspicion of having informed to the Barovians for pay. He was, in fact, innocent, something that Dorgio and others would discover afterward. His terrible experience changed him into a dangerous madman. In the end, the pathetic lunatic was killed by the same men that had driven him mad with torment.

Miklos# 2; a young man from Gundarak, nearly killed by Dorgio in the battle at the farmhouse. This Dorgio was a mercenary hired by 'Gaston.' He doesn't seem to know much about the nefarious activities of his former employer. He has recovered from his injuries and now lives in the Gundarakite quarter of Pont-a-Museau.

Miklos # 3 A Vistani hetman, this Miklos was one of the 'Tinkers' encountered by Dorgio in the land beyond the portal=pool.
