Talon Dunning
Quick question for people with more books than I, about the art of the rather talented Talon Dunning. Namely who's who from the illustrations on his site...

I recognise Azalin Rex, Dominic D'Honaire, Jacqueline Renier and Arijani, but who are the demented and ferverous women in the top middle and right corners respectively?

This one is a little trickier - The Lady of the Lake is in the top left, and it looks like one of Adam's Children on the bottom left - having seen Talon's drawings for Adam in Gaz II, it's not the darklord himself. But beyond that I have no idea.
I really love this work.

The top pictures are the Lady of the Lake, and Loht and Maeve (the political rulers of the Shadow Rift).
The bottom three pieces are from the Masque of the Red Death campaign. First is the Frankenstein Monster, the Prof. Moriarity, and a woman based on a horrific sadist from New Orleans.

The Remnants have one saying to represent loss, disappearance, exile, and death. It is Shiao Marests, "Taken by The Shadows".

Talon's art in "Legacy of the Blood" is truly amazing.
His portrait of Celeste d'Honaire is EXACTLY as I pictured her!

I haven't seen Dark Tales yet, so I can't comment. I did see Talon's illo of Maekon ahead of time and I thought it excellent, but that's it.David of the Frat wrote:I'm more impressed with his DT&DL art, LotB had a couple generic faces that failed to thrill (not his fault though) while DT&DL has portraits that perfectly match the new characters and look shockingly different.

Talon as I recall, also did the entire Tarokka deck and the art in there was fabulous. Also, there is a thumbnail gallery to the links posted earlier at http://www.talonart.com/pro-ww.html.
Information seems to come my way whether by chance or by fate, but all this means, is that I have yet to find out what will kill me and why. - The Stygian Inquirer

Gooooooodmornin'!
Home is behind,
The world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread,
Through shadow,
To the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Mist and shadow,
Cloud and shade,
Hope shall fail,
All shall fade.

Actually, some of my favourites are the races from the PHB. They're so ravenlofty and awesome. Talon so gets ravenloft. I'd love to see some of the non-comissioned work he's done for it. I mean, he said he's a long time player, any the thing with artists is that they doodle all the time, especially when roleplaying. I bet he's got heaps of semi-finished ravenloft designs...
I don't suppose he lurks around here at all?
