''Well, that was three years ago. You have all been in it, just today. Did you see any mold in the spring house----the cave-room in the cellar with the underground stream?"

"Since you mention it," Benn says, pulling the small container out of his pocket, "We did. This mold radiates some manner of supernatural cold, so far as I can tell. I am not a naturalist so I can't tell more."
"I hope you can see, Herr Gauderic, that this business of "slipping" in the spring house seems slightly suspicious given what we've seen thus far. I am convinced there were others down there with us even before we entered the caves. Plus the tectonic disturbance inside the house..." He trails off, shaking his head ruefully. "Something is not right here. Did your uncle have any effects that are still here? I would like to examine whatever may remain."

"Of course," Benn mutters, "It would be a damned shame if we ever knew what the hell was actually going on."

Gauderic stares at Benn.
'' Slipping...suspicious...euh...I'm confused.
My Uncle's accidental death, is that what you mean? What exactly are you suggesting, Master Gehrman? That happened three years ago. What does it have to do with anything going on now? Euh...as for his things, I think that Father had most of that stuff boxed up after the accident. We could take a look, I'm sure."'

"Oooh, I just love rummaging through old collections of things!" Everline says with a chuckle. "You always find the most fascinating things. This one time, a farmer asked me to have a look at his grandmother's old journals - the poor fellow couldn't read and thought they might be worth a few bob - and it turned out she had a collection of stamps that went right back to the Year of Founding. Stellar find."

Gauderic looks towards Karim, and then back to Benn.

Benn overlooks the initial outburst from the unnamed guest, but at this last he turns, a slight wince on his face. "Excuse me, fraulleine, but I don't believe we have been introduced. We are in the midst of serious business here, not a hunt for antiques. I don't mean to alarm you, but there be some manner of great peril that threatens the household. If you will excuse us?"Rock wrote:"Oooh, I just love rummaging through old collections of things!" Everline says with a chuckle. "You always find the most fascinating things. Gauderic motions for his major domo, who waits nearby.
''Master?''
''Kindly have the staff bring down all of my uncle's old things- you know, all those boxes in the attic..''
The young gentleman slumps into a chair.
'' This conclave is not turning out as expected. It is very distressing to me to think of what might have befallen the...euhhh....err...yes. And what about that poor dwarf? Dragged off into those rat-infested warrens! Horrible! You all see to be handling this well. I suppose you are used to this sort of business, being in your profession. ''

Thom looks at Benn and smiles. "Oh serious indeed. Swarms of rats, rat men.. Intrigue and back stabbing. Makes for a good story does it not?" Thom says. "Well while you gentlemen continue your investigation Everline, then young lady, and I shall continue our own." He says.
"Perhaps the two are connected, I shall let you know as we discover more." Thom says.

Gauderic's servants begin to bring down crates, one after another. Soon there are five crates placed in a row before the party. The servants head off to get more stuff.

"Well, lets see if any of his effects has any bearing on the current situation shall we ."Alain says as he puts down his drink so as to use both hands to check the crates .

"While you and others do that, I shall continue with my task. Good luck Gentlemen." Thom says. "Everline, join me. We should let the harden adventures search through these dusty boxes in peace." He says to her with wink.
Thom will leave main hall and go to the tree outside Delapor's office to continue his investigation.
