There's really not much to say about an adventure that never existed.Alanik Ray wrote:Can't you tell us anything about this adventure?

Hail again Mr. Mangrum.
With all that discussion about the Carnival in the other thread, I just remembered something I always wanted to know in relation to "S" journey. Does she was expected to meet with the Carnival during her travels? (I always imagined that Isolde would start a "crusade" if she discovered the many sons of her nemesis, even becoming a menace to Azalin´s plans).
By the way, regarding the never made adventure, I don´t know if this can be answered, but, "S" was mean´t to be an ally of the heroes or would she be at Azalin´s side?
Thanks again!

Mangrum wrote:Yes, S was scheduled to have a brief encounter with Carnival in one of the latter gazetteers, using it once to travel through the Mists.

It would be interesting to see Isolde's reaction to "S" bracelet.
There's a lot of potencial in an encounter like that... with Isolde being who she is and all. Maybe a conflict of interests between them? You know... S is looking for the Gentleman Caller's kids and Isolde wants to kill him (and possibly his children too). I don't think she would be very pleased if she ever found out about Azalin's plan.

One thing I know...all these discussions provides excelent ideas for a fan made adventure.Alanik Ray wrote:It would be interesting to see Isolde's reaction to "S" bracelet.

More like an entire netbook of possible adventures.
EDIT: Remember the original modules and their "roll a die to determine Strahd's motive"? This would be like the ultimate version of that.

I'm new here, and after reading this thread I'd like to throw in my two cents about a couple of things, firstly that bracer.
It seems that the bracer is a protective object for S, not a major part of Azalin's schemes, being that Azalin specifically said in Gaz II "it's magic will keep you safe". this would account for the excape from Verbek. This much about the bracer I feel fairly confident of, from here I move to hazier ground in my mind. That bracer having black stones, which seem to be about palm sized in one illustration, and miraculous protective abilities could, imho, in fact be composed of the Black Stones mentioned in the Ravenloft DMG.
As to Azalin's plan, I would like to hazard the guess that his comment on page 54 of Gaz IV might elucidate it, "The answer required here is how to give [Malocchio] that which he does seek". Now I am a relative newcomer to the setting, but does not this Dukkar seek the destruction of the Vistani? Could that not be the final goal of Azalin, for that certainly would change the dynamics of the demiplane and undermine the Dark Powers who I believe must have some reason for letting the gypsies have the run of their creation. The destruction of the Vistani would likely involve setting the dukkar loose from his bonds " Release? Perhaps, little scholar, perhaps. Yet not in the manner you suspect.", something which may involve his half-siblings and would definitely provoke war in the core if it involved pursuing the vistani into protected regions.
I would like to add that this is all conjecture, and in my reading of the past 20 pages I may have missed something invalidating some or all of it.
I eagerly wait the destruction of my theory.
