Granted! Your computer now has the most stable wireless connection that NASA ever dreamed of. The bill is about 250$/hour and the connection is so stable that you cannot switch off the computer (since that would cut off the connection).

I wish I had a free-of-charge wireless connection in my computer, as good as the one mentioned above.

Granted! The wireless network is so powerful, everyone in the neighborhood gets wireless cards and starts leeching off of it, driving your bandwidth through the roof.

I wish I had a full paying scholarship for U of I.

Granted! You receive a full-paid scholarship... but in order to keep it you must maintain a 4.0 average GPA, perfect attendance for your entire duration, and major in Latin. Oh, and room and board is not included.

I wish for a free thin crust pepperoni pizza to be delivered to my door this evening.

Granted. The neighbor's dog knocks over the garbage cans and drags a disgusting assortment of trash onto your front steps, including a three-month old thin crust pepperoni pizza that somebody finally got around to throwing out. (Oh, and while the pizza might be free, the dog insists on a tip.

)

I wish to get over this cold immediately, then remain perfectly healthy all summer.

Granted. The players get into a stupid argument about their PCs' ability to float in quicksand wearing heavy armor, attempt to prove their point via demonstration, and thus drown their own PCs before they ever reach the crocodile encounter.
