run away
If he is able ,Moorkroft will get up with George's help and run with him, back towards the rangers.
Delight is to him- a far, far upward, and inward delight- who against the proud gods and commodores of this earth, ever stands forth his own inexorable self.

Airing a shrieking cry, Biggs is sent through the air again - just a meter, but since he's running with full speed, this is enough to make him fall down... Which maybe isn't too bad right now, since his back is lacking... Cover right now...Tavian wrote: *Baleful Utterance on the pants of the nearest ranger - SHATTER spell not kill this time PLEASEif it works his pants should explode and he should be stunned *
Wedge stops running and stares at Tavian... Then, with a bloodcurdling shout, draws his sword and plunges on the halfling!
----------------------------------
As you others stumble back and try to help Moorkroft [you can act, if you want to do something, Ewan!], Shana's magic light the evening twilight on the forest road...
And when the dark creature stops the magic ball with a mere wave of its hand, for a moment the space under the hood is visible...

This is no undead! This is a human being!
Tavian grins as his plan works, kind of. The woodsmen have stopped running away. Unfortunately, one of them now charges towards him, waving his sword. Tavian again utters a terrible word, then braces for the impending impact.
*Baleful Utterance on his sword, then full defense if that is still possible*

Shana glances in complete exasperation at Tavian
"what is it with you and trousers? Everyone needs a hobby I guess, but IS THIS THE MOMENT?!"
She returns her attention to the dark figure and Raises her crossbow, muttering a little. As she aims, their is the ring of steel being drawn and a light footfall from directly behind the figure
[Ghost sound behind the attacker to distract him while Moorkroft gets clear]

musket
Moorkroft replies to Erdwin, '' Yes , I am better now. '' He stand and looks toward the cloaked figure, noticing the face visible beneath the cloak. He seems surprised. Seeing Shana confronting the cloaked man by herself, he pauses in his flight. A look of stern resolution on his face, he takes the long leather case from his back, and carefully withdraws his musket. He walks steadily toward Shana and the cloaked man, checking the priming pan with practiced motion of his hand. His face is still place from the frightful shock he recieved , but now his walk seems steadier, perhaps because he can see his opponent to be mere flesh and blood.

Seeing Moorkroft stand on his own and the halfling under attack, George takes a step back to reevaluate the situation. He thinks, "Are we under attack from two sides now? Who is the real danger?"
George pays more attention to the man in black facing Moorkroft than the ranger charging Tavian, as Moorkroft's opponent seems the larger threat and Tavian seems to have brought his troubles upon himself.
George will stay back and wait for an opening to flank the man in black, hoping that Erdwin, who seems the knightly type, will attack from the front first and distract him.

OOC: My apoligies for not keeping up, Didn't notice the thread link at the bottom of the last thread.(Bows head in shame) But it is good to see the game didn't just take a very long break.
IC: Alain, following the other members of the party into the woods, draws his long sword.
All of a sudden, the idiot woodsman's pants explode!
"Sacre Bleu!!!" Alain exclaims.
Alain takes up a defense along with george, ready to fend off the thing in black.

boomstick
Stopping a little more than a dozen yards from the cloaked man, Moorkroft will take careful aim, and fire-if his line of fire is clear. He will shout a warning to his companions to stand clear, if one of them gets in the way.

Even before Tavian has murmrueed his spell, the woodsmen throws his sword away and sits down, covering his head with his hands and crying:Tavian wrote: *Baleful Utterance on his sword, then full defense if that is still possible*
"I don't want to end like this...!"
The spell seems to be of no effect to the ghost...kintire wrote: [Ghost sound behind the attacker to distract him while Moorkroft gets clear]
But Moorkroft's panic will increase again as he hears a squeeking sound out of the wood behind the apparition...
Almost impossible to get a clean target... They got to get out of the way...ewancummins wrote:Stopping a little more than a dozen yards from the cloaked man, Moorkroft will take careful aim, and fire-if his line of fire is clear. But then... What's that?!
Out of the thick woods, more and more ghostly creatures rise as the sun sinks beneath the horizon...
Night is falling on the land of Staunton... And if you don't hurry, you might get trapped inside...

Your group gathers around Moorkroft and his gun, routed on the forest road by dozens of ghastly figures rising from their hidden graves...
The cloaked figure with the glowing eyes opens its mouth for a loud and mocking laughter...

George speaks out to all assembled, "People, I don't think combat is an option. Since it appears that Mookroft is ok, I suggest we run for our lives." With that, George puts as much distance between himself and the ghostly creatures as possible while still staying with the group, hoping the others will see the better part of valor as well.
