He did a few memorable appearances on X-Files as well, Chris Carter claimed the Night Stalker was his inspiration. I used to love K:tNS when I was a teen in the 70's, I recently bought the whole series on DVD plus the two made-for-TV movies, it's pretty corny to watch now but still a lot more interesting than that travesty re-make ABS foisted on us last fall. Thanks for the good memories, Darren, they probably shaped me into the person I am today more than I realize (between that & 'Dark Shadows', that is!).
I only wish I had retired sooner!

I wouldn't say that Milosevic is/was Drakov's analogue, given as how the former was simply trying to promote his own country at others' expense, while the latter is a pastiche of the epitomy of cartoon evil.
On the other hand, he brought about his own demise, as, apparently, he was taking an unprescribed liver medicine in order to worsen his own health in order to be flown to Russia where he planned to live in exile.

Kolchak lives on in my DVD collection, staking vampires and shooting rakshasas full for blessed crossbow bolts...
