Barovia. As long as you avoid the wolves, chances are your death would be swift.

good question

i like Valachan, myself. not the safest domain. their tax collection system needs some work. but i like the thought of living in a more rustic setting.

Someone should turn this into a poll. I'd choose Lamordia myself.

Personally, I'll wuss out completely and pick Mordent, Dementileu or Lamordia, in that order. Staunton Bluffs if it's stil out there in the Mists. Hmm, prehaps that won't be such a good idea, as I just recalled, Sir Torrence Bleysmith's curse is that he can't harm anyone native to the domain, correct? Still, as long as you stayed in the 'safe' half and never went up to the actual Bluffs....

Dementlieu for me too, I like the domains with high cultural level.

I would probably live in Lamordia, its always seemed to be pretty much the safest domain, even with Adam and Mordenhiem both of who apparently care little about the local population as long as people don't bother them...

I can't really narrow it down to just one, however...

- Kartakass: I'm an arist & musician. Seems like a pretty good match. Harkon doesn't seem like such a bad guy, either.

- Mordent/Lamordia: If I really wanted to wimp out. Though I'm not a big fan of the cold weather of Lamordia.

- Vechor: 24/7 acid trip ftw.

- Tepest: I've always like the faerytale mystique. The Hags are scary enough, though I think my chances of crossing paths with them are fairly small.

In all actuality though, I'd eventually move to Darkon, armed with my real life knowledge of Azalin's true name. Then I'd turn Castle Avernus into a fun house.

Probably your child with Gabby would be Dukkar (and a warlock of Hala at that) and then S would come around to write about him so that Azalin could use him in a plot along with the GC, Isolde and the Hyskosa tribe to blow another hole in Ravenloft! Would that make you happy?

Forgive the intrusion, I've been trolling thru back topics since I've been away for a few months and wanted to add my 2 cents...

I'd pick Richemulot. It's a melting pot where you could meet all kinds of people from across the Core. The weather is temperate. You have plains and forests where you can go when you get tired of the big city. It's definitely a better place than Dementlieu or Borca to be if you're of the poor or middle class. There's a fair bit of culture to stave off boredom, and I'm sure the food isn't that bad either.

The only problem I can see, of course, would be avoiding becoming dinner for a pack of viscious wererats. But, my girlfriend and I have a couple of pet rats, so I'm not really frightened by the things that much. (They're actually quite stupid to tell you the truth, but absolutely charming once you get to know them.)

Keening or the House of Lament might be fun for all of... I don’t know, 2 minutes. At that point I’d wish I’d opted for Mordent or something. Bluetspur might be fun though…

Lamordia. Quiet place but still advanced technologically, and I'm comfortable with the environment. No major political problems (though I don't like the dealings with Falkovnia) and very few monsters.

With lots of trips to Dementlieu for the holidays. :P

Souragne for me, hands down. I would love to live in a swamp!
