The bloke from Cassanova is wrong for Dr Who, he's too young. Give the job to Tony Head!

I dunno, I enjoyed him in Takin' Over the Asylum and he could really pull off the same manic energy as the current guy.

Ever seen him do Frank N Furter from Rocky Horror? I think Tony Head could be the Doctor.

Is this "Tony Head" the same "Anthony Stewart Head" who played Rupert Giles in "Buffy"?

He played FRANK-N-FURTER????!!!!

I'm not sure I'll ever be able to watch Buffy again without going to a scary visual place...

No, Tim Curry played Furter in the movie version of Rocky Horror.

I can see Head doing a stage version. The man can sing after all. But he's too serious a person to play such a manic character as the Doctor has become. Maybe if they went for a retro Doctor along the lines of the 1st guy, but I think they want to stick with a goofball for a bit, establish the role first in the minds of viewers before they radicly change it.

I've actually seen the movie version of Rocky Horror, so I know Tim Curry played the role--hence the "scary visual place." ;-)

My gaming group (especially the usual DM) has a love for that movie that borders on the insane, so we all have to watch it every once in a while. Glurg!! *retching noises*

This post was actually referring to one of Drinnik's earlier posts, asking if anyone had seen Mr. Head "do Frank N Furter from Rocky Horror". At least, that's who I thought he was asking about, as I'm not familiar with "the bloke from Cassanova."

Anthony Stewart head did indeed play Fanrky on stage, I saw the stage show when he was performing the role and Richard O'Brien had also returned to the stage show for that season, I have a booklet from the show signed by them somewhere ;)

Anthony Head would make a good Doc though.

Yep, the Daleks are back next week (so much for them saying that they were to appear in the final episode of this season). However, on the Lotto show, the statement of them finally being able to float upstairs is wrong, they have been able to float up stairs before now when Sylvester McCoy played the role. In fact it was a cliffhanger to an episode, the Doc ran up some stairs to escape, then the Dalek began to float up and the Doc realised the door he had come to was locked, cuq theme music and fade to black :P

There wasn't a spliler for next weeks episode back then either, lol. It really was infuriating at times with those cliffhangers.

I will also say this, there are 3 multipart (2 episode) stories this season, so yet more spoiled cliffhangers to come.

BTW, those aliens looked even more like Mutant Jelly Babies this week :P

They may well be doing both - next ep is a solo Dalek, while the final ep...

I heard the same thing. The Daleks are in more than one episode.

Is Davros dead?

yep i remember seeing that scene

as for this weeks aliens, my Grandparents were appalled by how bad they were compared to current stuff in Sci-fi, though they found me statement of them looking like ET on Steroids funny :D
