Wanderets: Potential Dukkars
I don't quite know if this has been discussed here before, but in reading Heroes of Light I chanced on the minute facts that all three Vistani males in the Wanderers have "The Sight" as a special quality. Doesn't this make them all Dukkars by default?

True, having that power as written would make them Dukkers.
OTOH, by the same reasoning, each and every male darkling in the world is also a potential Dukker! Perhaps it'd resolve the issue if it's only those male Vistani who are *born* with precognitive talents, who are genuine Dukkers: those who gain the Sight by other means, later in life, wouldn't qualify. The darklings gain their Sight as a result of their transformation, after being exiled -- in effect, it's an unique "Terror Track" that the DPs apply only to villainous Vistani -- while the Wanderers could've picked up the Sight as a side effect of the bizarre events in the SotBR novel. Maybe a last-ditch curse by Inza, to punish her former fellows by granting them powers that'd make all other Vistani revile them as "Dukkers"?
Of course, that'd mean a considerable number of male Vistani who gained their powers late, and so weren't genuinely a threat, have been killed by their fellows, out of misplaced paranoia that they're Dukkers. But that's hardly news: in a way, injustice and prejudicial fears are as much a part of the Ravenloft tradition as any other Gothic story-element.

That is how I see it. The foreboding should be of the male child born with the sight. The wanderers were a collection of misplaced Vistani. As for how they received it... maybe a gift from Magda. She would wish to see her traitorous daughter kept in check, how better that to have those who wopuld hunt her gifted with the sight. The wanderers I could never see leaving Sithicus and thus contact with other Vistani would be limited.
I remember the first war, the way the sky burned... Faces of angels destroyed.
