I hail from the cultural Wasteland known as Buckhannon WV. We have but one book store within a hour drive and he no longer carries any roleplaying books (he will order if you ask nicely but he still gives me a strange look when I do.)
I have found a few RL players but life and military service have sent them to the four courners leaving me with only a few chatroom sessions to get my RP fix.

As said in my location text, I am from the sleepy town of Würzburg, Germany.
(Maybe that sounds to someone, because NBA star Dirk Nowitzki came from here...
I sat on his shoulders when I was about 9 years old... 1991? Can't be...)
We have exactly ONE good gaming store here from which you can consider me as BANNED.
I've never met another Ravenloft DM or player here except my own troops, and I am not sure if I want to... It may be some dull prejudice of mine, but while I associate RL with *The Castle of Otranto* and *The Murders on the Rue Morgue*, most players of *goth* rpgs I have come to met until now tend to see it as a kind of medieval *Texas Chain Saw Massacre*.
(One reason why I don't play VtM anymore...)
However, if anyone of ever happens to drop by and wants to spend an hour or two in the company of the Disinherited Knight and his fellow squires, just let me know. After all, we're brothers-in-shadow...

Ah, my sympathies are with you. I'll never forget the first time I was banned from a store - though I still contend that the "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service" does not apply to pants.Desdichado wrote:We have exactly ONE good gaming store here from which you can consider me as BANNED.

Thank you, Scs.
It's not that I was offically forbidden, it's more like a mutaul agreement that I won't buy there again... I was a a loyal customer for them a long time, but then they started to get messy and to *forget* what I had ordered. *Given that those things were not particularly cheap, I decided that I'd better spend my money elsewhere...*
*As Germans may know what shop I am talking about, they're still great guys, and I've been reported that they're not so messy anymore... If you're convinced that in the age of ebay and Hartz IV, it is appropriate to spend 30 to 50 € for gaming books, they're still the best adress.*

I am from Greece too. In my area, I know a large quantity of ravenloft players. Currently I am involved in two different ravenloft campaigns and I know another ten or so guys who want to play in the land of the mists. Unfortunately, I can't find time for all of them. Generally, the last two years the rpg community in greece has risen in numbers and popularity. The new players are generally more intrigued about ravenloft and dragonlance and since i enjoy dming in both campaigns i really enjoy myself this period
I once dreamed of a world free of evil. Today this same dream haunts my nightmares
