The palette of Carnival
I recently got some printed miniatures in the style of a carnival. Wagon stages, a fortune tellers wagon, etc. I'm getting ready to paint and prime them to use as Isolde's carnival, and realized I dont know if the color scheme of it is ever explicitly mentioned. I know the real world palettes that usually get used, ie red and gold or, for a more Mardi grass vibe, green gold and purple. But I really was thinking of using a darker color scheme, with trimmings of UV reactive paint to create a more mystical, almost otherworldly vibe. I'm very new to painting miniatures, and I would love any ideas or input people could give.

I'd got for bold, primary colours for all the wagons that do not belong to the Vistani travelers. The performers have to put on a show for the punters all the time; the Vistani (I know they have a special group name, I just can't remember it right now!) are in constant hiding behind their face-paint. I'd see them using more drab, darker colours than the performers - or their kindred.
