Michael Jendalis (Legacy of the Blood)

Post by FiranDarcalus »

So I was hoping to introduce Michael into my game soon as a Medium (he's the Godefroy character in Legacy of the Blood). One of the PC's has a spirit board that was given to her by her late grandmother & she's also haunted by her (ala Haunted feat from 3rd Ed). Was thinking of doing a seance led by Michael to try and contact the character's granny, as she's trying to find answers to why she follows her around & appears to her sometimes.

I was looking through Legacy, but the stat block/description of him does not give an age or date of birth, it simply says he is the youngest medium in Mordentshire & was born in Gryphon Manor. Mistippedia doesn't have an age or birth date either. In the intro text he mentions to Laurie that he originally wanted to be an adventurer like the twins, but didn't have the constitution for it. I believe it also mentions he has his own place where he does his seances.

I'm wondering if anybody has any other info that maybe I missed that gives his age? In his portrait, he looks pretty young, but it's kinda hard to tell exactly. He's level 11 in his stat block, which would mean he's even higher level than the twins. Would make me think he's at least their age, maybe even a bit older?

I don't know what to think about age. Any thoughts what age he'd be as of 758 BC when Legacy would have been written?

Thanks for any help/suggestions!

I've always seen character level as more a thing of plot necessity than any realistic representation of how much a character has experienced. Each character is simply given a statblock that best reflects the abilities they need to have for the story to work. I wouldn't read too much into it.
