Re: Taxi to Ravenloft
I came into this thread thinking that taxi to Ravenloft could be a cool concept. You get into a taxi, but end up in front of castle Ravenloft instead, the taxi driver speeding away, leaving you in a state of confusion.

I'll keep this thread alive in case anyone wants to debate the notion of a taxi dumping people in the Demiplane of Dread as a concept. The rest of my 'infected by Supamu'-posts are getting the axe.

It is an interesting idea - perhaps a hansom cab in 18th century London drops it's passengers off in Paridon. Or perhaps Kantora. Or Port-a-Lucine .....

The concept makes me think of a sinister version of the movie Midnight in Paris.

Wasn’t one of the Christmas ghosts in Scrooged a cab driver?

I hadn't heard of this movie yet. It sounds good.Wolfglide of the Fraternity wrote: ↑Tue Apr 04, 2023 12:41 pm The concept makes me think of a sinister version of the movie Midnight in Paris.

Re: Taxi to Ravenloft
It would be a decent idea for arrival. The boat lost in the mists like "Night of the Walking Dead" adventure is similar. And I think Ship of Horror's captain was aware that he was stealing people and bringing them to Ravenloft.

Didn't Eddie Money have a song about this in the 80's?
Black taxi to Ravenloft!
Grab your bags, we leave tonight.
Guaranteed to be a fright.

Re: Taxi to Ravenloft
A taxi to Ravenloft could be driven by a rogue Mist Ferryman, one who brings living creatures into the domain for his own sick kicks and for payment from vile creatures - perhaps even the Dark Powers themselves.
