Yes, there are other plumes, but these are further off. The nearest is perhaps ten blocks or so.Adam wrote:1) sorry for dissapearing

Re: RAVENLOFT: The One That Got Away OOC
It's been a week. I could wait longer for replies, put the game on hiatus for the summer, or roll ahead.
I opt to roll ahead, since PMs and phone convos have given me a good idea of what at least several players want to do.
As always, if you feel something you wanted to do was skipped, let me know.

Can locate object (which I will memorize anyway) detect the "firebomb" substance? Is anyone coming with Raen to the Flammarion to ask about that substance?
I think Raen has a bit of the mix to show to the alchemist, correct? If not, he will ask for it.

Yes, the spell can locate alchemist's fire. Or (the more common) gunpowder.alhoon wrote:Can locate object (which I will memorize anyway) detect the "firebomb" substance? Is anyone coming with Raen to the Flammarion to ask about that substance?
Alchemist's fire from a particular batch could perhaps be homed in on, if Raen had a sample handy. It all looks similar enough, but actually holding some residue of the same batch might help the spell.

Sure, Raen was able to collect a sample that hadn't completely burned up.

Goody. Thanks.
Raen wants to go to that Alchemist and ask him if he knows who would make that particular batch or sell the ingredients for that.

Sara can go with Raen. But when he casts the locate object she needs to stay behind him (I guess the spell is a cone) otherwise he might detect the gunpowder of her guns.

He won't cast it randomly and he wouldn't check for gunpowder, but if needed, he would check for that specific mixture.

Re: RAVENLOFT: The One That Got Away OOC
Last I checked with LordSkybolt, his PC was probably going to the alchemist with Raen and Sara.
His intent included protecting them.
Until I get further guidance for the player, I'll assume Alain is nearby, inconspicuously positioned, keeping an eye out for trouble.
