Going after Matyr:
Kat
Going after Benn's kids:
Benn
Raen
split up, details depend on other choices:
Sara (party without dogs)
the six gendarmes+ (will divide so as to make parties pretty much even in numbers)
hound-master, dog-boy (with dogs)
Undeclared:
Dorgio
Looks like DORGIO joins KAT.
So it will be
going after the killer
KAT
DORGIO
SARA
FOUR GENDARMES
going after the kids
BENN
RAEN
HOUNDMASTER with HOUNDS and DOG-BOY
TWO GENDARMES

I'll do another round of tracking (and scent, for the doggoes) rolls for this part of the divided hunt.

saw was a shaggy/hairy, four-footed beast-- but was it a werebeast, a natural creature, a monster of some other sort?
It's hard to say. The wave of sorrow that washed over her, and seems to have affected Kat as well, does not fit with the abilities of any animal or breed of lycanthrope she is familiar with.
That doesn't mean the thing she saw isn't a werebeast. It might be one with unique abilities.
Or maybe it's something else.
Maybe the feeling wasn't even directly connected with the creature?
She needs more clues, more information, more lore.
