On the strangling thing: If you use a garrotte, you can cover most of what you're looking for through the choke descriptor. My alterations to the weapon would be that you gain a bonus to your first grapple check equal to the number of sneak attack dice you have, and that a masterwork garrotte only requires one hand to use after the initial attack, allowing you to sneak attack with your other hand to your heart's content.

With the Kantora Strangler running around, and with Malken only ever strangling defenseless women rather than properly armed warriors, I thought it best to build him this way rather than make strangling his focus.

You could replace Shadow Strike with Catch Off Guard though. That's not a bad swap.
Too bad I can't erase Malken and Tristen from my thread because you have convinced me to scrap my version. No big loss though, as there are plenty of Ravenloft characters left to adapt. Would you be willing to divide and conquer a bit? We have discussed collaborating at some point, and since we are both interested in a similar topic, I thought it only natural. Although in the end we do both tend to prefer your conversions to my own, you have implied that one person can't do it all. Any suggestions of rules, monsters, or NPCs that I can start adapting to Pathfinder that you haven't had the inclination to work on yet? I understand if you wanna do your own thing. I just thought I would ask.

I have all the darklords done (but again, your versions have convinced me to go back and redo some of mine again, so I don't want to put you off). The other major NPCs are all yours if you like.

Wow! Really? All of them? Nice work!

OK then. I guess I'll just continue on as I have then with less emphasis on darklords. I eagerly await your future posts. :D

Just because I've done them doesn't mean they're all up yet. :)

Isn't Louise in a QtR somewhere?

Legacies of Blood! Yes, that's where I saw it! Silly me. Obviously my memory had to fail eventually.

I love Scholar of Decay as well, but it makes me less likely to try my hand with Louise. She strikes me as lethally high maintenance.

Sorry Ryan, I was at work and realize I should have clarified my statement.

When I was referring to being biologically descended from the Mists, I was referring to a creature of some kind impregnating the mother. Not necessarily a Mist Horror, for the reasons you've noted, but I always thought that anything could be in the Mists.

I imagine that there would be a possibility that those who spend a lot of time in the Mists might risk being infused somehow...maybe with some kind of taint? And that taint might hide...but could be passed on and manifest?

I agree, this would probably be the most common in the Mistlands in Darkon.

But, after all that, I do agree with you that it does step on the toes of the Anchorite. I haven't even convinced myself that it's necessary, so it's probably just best to drop it. :)

Hey Ryan! Just chiming in to say this thread is great, thanks for taking the trouble of letting us in on your conversion, really prime quality stuff.

Im sure gonna be using some (or all) of this material in my own campaign.

As for worthy ideas for the topic, I was thinking maybe you could do some generic statblocks, something along the lines of paizo's NPC Guide, but tailored specially for Ravenloft. I'll see if I can come up with some myself to add to the thread (if you don't mind) but Im not very good with stats.

Anyways, thanks for the material, much appreciated.
