... I actually needed a Wisdom and a Spot check, not a Spot and Listen.

Still, if I take these rolls, you make the Wisdom check and the Spot check. Expect a pm and get posting! :)

I do not exactly understand:
The red haired priest towards the corridor which he heard the noise.
Corridor in what way? A corridor between two ranks of zombies? We're not in a building are we? If we are, I must've misread somewhere.
Or maybe there's another definition of the word that I do not know.

Could anyone clarify, please.

It's a natural corridor, or passage, between two 'walls' of tightly interwoven swamp-trees and -brush. Even with the drought, they still make formidable barriers.

It's ahead of you; the hybrids are backing into it, the horseman is at the end of it. The fog is rising.

Damn, must be getting blind. re-read the post thrice before seeing the corridor part. *sigh.* sorry

Ok, so now if I understand well.

- about 40' before the 1st rank of zombies are the hybrids
- The hybrids stand before the corridor, shooting and retreating as the zombies advance, but stay in front of the corridor? If so, how much in front of the corridor
- what's the width and height of this corridor and how deep/long are we talking about. Approx. ofc
- we are standing in a large zombie pack, but there are some "loose stumbling" zombies which are between the zombie group and the hybrids or they retreated 40 ft so there is nothing stumbling about between them and us anymore?
- The zombie pack is only attack from 1 side then? Or in Crescent formation or from different sides?
Tresspassers will be shot......
Survivors will be shot again.

Don't feel too bad, Guz; I completely missed "corridor" the first couple of times, too.

Anyway, depending on the answers regarding the formation, I may tweak the shape of Lucien's energy wall for maximum effect. If I do so, Rock, I'll post here that I've made an update.

Brave as he is, I don't think Zumba will run in open-country as a moving pin-cushion. Slaves are known for their cleverness and stealth, if one thing. It might actually be more interesting to try to throw fire to the trees making up the corridor, if possible.

... Are you familiar with the concept of a natural chimney, and what it does to air? And what happens to living beings when all the oxygen is sucked out of their breathing air?

That's not something I ever thought about, but I take it from your remaining words that would create a vacuum between its walls. Clearly, living people die.

May I suppose you are implying that we are near such kind of chimney and that we may be its victims? If so, could you please explain why? Cause I wouldn't guess it (because of the first line I wrote) and without further explanation I wouldn't believe it (just standard useful skepticism, really).

Well, the natural corridor is a fairly narrow passage of dense plant matter, which has become rather dry due to the drought. If it starts to burn, it'll burn hot and it'll burn for a long time. Even if the natural vacuum doesn't come to be, there will be plenty of smoke.

Very well... but if the vacuum happens, we are outside the corridor. And I don't think there's reason to create that vacuum, as the corridor is open at least on our side. The hot air rises, but that draws the cool air to the groud, and so the air that is outside (above us) would, I think, flow towards the corridor. We, at least, would not be caught in the vacuum. The hybrids might, but we're for here would have the same ending.

As for the smoke... well, we might crawl back to Papa Doc afterwards =) *lol*
smoke rises too

Edited my post. Sorry for any confusion. So, are we staying together or splitting up?

Goren can cast Aid for us only, not for the Zombies for the obvious reason.
