RLO transitions - a game ends, another begins (long)
So, the journey of Ezra's protectors has come to an end.
The evil Moorkroft, once a good man, has been consumed by the Dark Powers, and become the new Lord of Vercors.
With Ezra's youngest avatar killed, the spells of protection vanished, and left Shana, Inovidil, and Brethanna bare to Moorkroft's new powers.
Meanwhile, on the world of Toril, a hundred years have passed.
The former kingdom of Cormyr lies in disarray.
And yet again, the mists are rising...
This upcoming campaign takes you into the worlds of Ravenloft and Faerun,
as you fight Leo Dilisnaya in his attempt to invade the kingdoms of man.
You start with NEW characters, lvl 5, no evil alignments, in the city of Arabel.
You all are born Faerunians, and you all at some point did an important service to one of the local temples of Arabel.
Now, they remember your value as warriors of good...
All else, you will come to know in the upcoming months.
The Quest for the Fountain will begin in October 2011!

Delight is to him- a far, far upward, and inward delight- who against the proud gods and commodores of this earth, ever stands forth his own inexorable self.

Re: The Fountain of Youth - OOC
I should probably point out that I was not at all pleased about the adventure went.
Not what Ewan did, but how you guys managed the overall situation.
Also, player discipline was an issue, yet AGAIN, for the little time we in fact played with me as the DM.
If this happens again, I will start throwing people out.
I say this ONCE, with three months to go to the next game.
I will not say this twice.
Your call to make, if you want me as DM.
I say this so clearly because it WAS an issue last time already.
Next time this happens will be the last time the respective player plays in a game of mine.
No need to discuss this any further, but I think I should be as clear as possible about my intentions.
It's a chat game, but this ain't goddamn twitter.

Yes, the RP generally was high quality. The mood and atmosphere was spot on as well. However, while I would very much like to focus on the high points, I read the Moorkroft Plan B with interest, and this:
I don't know, maybe I'm just not well enough read up on the Ravenloft background to know what the tricks are.
Does sum up my experience pretty well. They aint ready for what comes next
combatmedic: let them battle Leo or jump at Shadows...Jamies got a gun
combatmedic: errr plan
Rafe: They are so fucked anyway... You are the only one who can beat Leo, you guessed it, right?

That... is not quite the point I was making, but never mind.Right, Plan B was a big gamble. It had pretty much the results I had anticipated- and then some.

You didn't like that Moorcroft could not enter the temple to help you guys seek and destroy Leo? Neither did Jamethon.kintire wrote:That... is not quite the point I was making, but never mind.Right, Plan B was a big gamble. It had pretty much the results I had anticipated- and then some.

Re: The Fountain of Youth - OOC
Rafe, why was Jamethon the only one who could beat Leo?
Just because of his connection with Ezra, and her connection with Leo? Maybe you'd prefer not to say, in case the explanation includes spoilers?
Clues about Jamethon's special destiny and his connection to Erza had been building up in play for a long time. When you asked that I bring him back as a PC, even over my initial misgivings, I knew something big had to be coming.
Given your OH SHIT reaction, it's clear that I altered the equation with Plan B. Jamethon may be damned, but he's damned on his own damn terms.
