Me either. Strange.I dunno how I missed this thread for so long...
Me, I'm from Eugene, Oregon. College town that hosts a number of insane, Duck-loving (The University of Oregon's team) SUV driving, environmentally concerned, ex-hippies (Yes, I know that SUV's and the environment are diametrically opposed, but in Eugene, you just learn to live with the blatant hypocrisy). And since it's a college town, we have quite a few gamers running around out here (including a sizable LARP population), many of whom really enjoy Ravenloft... but generally don't play it. I think it had something to do with the way it was originally presented, as a 'weekend of terror' setting.
<sigh>
At least I have a group of die hard cthulhu players who subscribe to the belief that 'since it's D&D, at least we'll have a fighting chance against the monsters.'
Oh, how naive they are.
