I'll.... see what I can do.
Expect updates to remain sporadic while I try to remember what I was doing.

Something very curious that I've just noticed. Refer to this: http://www.fraternityofshadows.com/foru ... c&start=75
This is when Santine is in the tree, and then the tree starts sprouting weird purple ivy/tentacles.
Now, we eventually learned that most of the trouble was being caused by M'sieur Gravois and by the Living Wall in the shack... but it seems very unlikely that either of them could've accounted for the purple ivy. Gravois, as near as I can tell, was just a regular human, not a mage of any sort. As for the Living Wall... while a Living Wall could theoretically have any spell in existence as a daily SLA, it only gains these spells if a spellcaster dies with that spell memorized and is absorbed into the wall. And Gravois's Living Wall wasn't used to guard some Lich's tomb, it subsisted on a diet of plantation laborers as far as we know. Still, it's not beyond the grounds of belief for it to have consumed a very low level druid at some point, but then... how does it get LoS from the floor of the shack to the tree up in the fence?
So, it seems like this is a little bit of Creepy that was skipped over at first because we though "this will all be revealed later", and after the reveal no one went back and realized "Waaaait..."
Anyone else have any theories? The only other thing I can think of is that this is Misroi's doing, but how or why is beyond me.

Maybe the tree's roots run under the shack?NeoTiamat wrote:Still, it's not beyond the grounds of belief for it to have consumed a very low level druid at some point, but then... how does it get LoS from the floor of the shack to the tree up in the fence?

I don't think so... they'd have to be awfully long roots.
Also, let me just say with regards to the present comic: Suggestion Backfire
