Café de Nuit

Spoilers ahoy!

Someone will have to explain to me though why the Armada turned tail because of a few opposing pirate ships.
I imagine it's because they a) lost their flagship and commander, and b) were facing the Dutchman .

Why couldn't elisabeth go on the boat with will instead of staying ...

At the Mountains of Madness. Which, incidentally, was just made into a radio drama by the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society.

Just wanted to add that I purchased the CD and received it yesterday. The bonus items (newspaper clipping, etc..) are very cool and I have been glued to my CD-reader ever ...

Wasn't Maus older, like from the 70s? (Not to be nitpicking, just curious. :))
If my memory serves me right, he started writing it sometime in the 70s, but the last issue wasn't published until sometime in the early 90s (I think it won the Pulitzer prize in -92, so it'd have to be finished by then ...

Yup, that's one badass trailer.

Now, I'm rather fond of Sin City , comics and movie alike, although I admit there were some wince-worthy parts. That said, I think 300 is a the better book by far (whether or not it's a better movie remains to be seen), and should have substantially less gore.

I ...

Hmm... y'know, I never considered the books separate entities, so I'd rather like a fourth option with "It's just one bloody big book, man!"

Also, do you like my site so far?
Two things come to mind at first glance. First of all, the colour scheme is rather garish ('course, there might be other skins for the registered), and hardly befitting the mood. Secondly, the picture at the top of the site is freakishly big, requiring you to ...

Zherisia?

If you look over the core races, you'll see that not one of them has a bonus to a mental stat. Apart from balance reasons (and a +2 doesn't make much difference in the long run), I believe the main idea behind this is that WotC didn't want to make a race that was tailored to any of the caster ...

Not having read the book (I generally don't read much fantasy), I can't say how good an adaption it was, but as a movie it is, like LadySoth said, a mixed bag.

The Good:
The acting was generally decent, with Jeremy Irons stealing the spotlight in every scene he was in. The rest of the cast were ...

WARNING: SPOILER (kinda pointless now, though )
Its like: you couldn't come up with a more original ending than that? Kind of like in Brave New World when the main character commits suicide at the end of the book . . . it just ticks me off!
Y'know, it's generally considered polite to ...

Contact Other Plane and Commune are for contacting genuine outsiders, if not deities--that is, denizens of the upper and lower planes.
Yes, I know. I was in something of a hurry and couldn't find a better example.

Once again, strictly speaking, the canon ruling depends upon the spell. The spell ...

Well, the canon ruling would be "no". And rules ruling would be ""no". The story ruling is "do whatever makes the cooler story".

Interesting. What in the canon / rules makes you say the answer would be no? I don't claim to have the RL rules memorized, but I don't recall offhand any specific ...

By the RAW, there's nothing preventing a humanoid lycanthrope from rising as vampire. The lycanthrope is still a humanoid, only with the shapecanger subtype.
So more to the point, my vrykolaka could transmit lycanthropy even if he couldn't necessarily gain all of its benefits himself?
That ...
