Overview

Zardorus is a deathslayer necromancer and undead hunter from Darkon. He is obsessed with the destruction of the undead, and his single-mindedness may well turn him into a monster little better than the abominations he hunts.[1]

Background

Formerly a student of the University of Il Aluk, Zardorus' fascination with the riskier and more morbid elements led him to seek the outcast Professor Dascampen. The professor took Zardorus on as an apprentice, but Dascampen eventually betrayed Zardorus by preparing him as an experimental subject. However, before he could finish his experiment, a mob of priests broke in and killed him. Zardorus was released and healed in the belief he was but a mere victim guilty of no crimes.[2]

The above experience, and Zardorus' subsequent discoveries made of Dascampen's horrific work in his secret library, rendered Zardorus a bitter man obsessed with the destruction of the undead.[3]

Current Sketch

Zardorus has obsessively devoted his life to eradicating the undead, traveling throughout the Land of Mists on his never-ending hunt. Zarorus has a callous streak, willing to use innocents as bait to lure out the undead. Furthermore, he isn't afraid of inflicting casualties on innocent bystanders in the areas of his spells if he must.[3]

Zardorus is prejudiced against both wizards and priests, especially those who animate the undead (whom he gives no quarter to.) He avoids teaming up with wizards in general, and he verbally accosts priests of good deities for failing to wipe out the undead.[3]

Zardorus has developed a number of necromancy spell variants that work specifically on the undead whereas the normal versions would work on the living.[4]
