S.H. Williby

S.H. Williby (born 682 BC[1]) is an NPC from the module Hour of the Knife. He is a notary who resides in Paridon and works at Williby & Heffnel Notaries (Area 13 of the Paridon map). Although an old man of decaying health and eccentric mind, he is a self-educated scholar[2] who may know the most of any person in Paridon.[3]
In Hour of the Knife
At the old age of 60 by the time the module takes place.[2], S.H. Williby is nonetheless of potential use to the player characters investigating the Bloody Jack murders if they seek knowledge of any monsters encountered along the way. He can identify doppelgangers and several other shapeshifting monsters if given descriptions. With time to research, he can also provide descriptions of these creatures and their special abilities, though he does not know everything they are theoretically capable of learning.[4]
