Hailing from Gothic Earth's Poland during the 1700s, Rabbi Mendel sought to remove the world from evil (and existence) and thus performed powerful acts of magic using his mastery over the kabbalah. Instead, he brought his town into the Demiplane of Dread. Now he lurks in his room researching esoteric rituals to finish his dreaded work, hostile to any disturbance.[1]
