Master Currin Klein de l’Ombre

Master Currin Klein de l’Ombre was ostensibly a rich and well-known merchant as well as a collector of magic items and similar esoteric goods. Master Currin's activities and interests made him a frequent rival of Lord Theone. The two never encountered each other in person, but nonetheless earned each other's respect from afar. It is because of this connection that Master Currin attended the private auctioning of the (suspected to be) deceased Lord Theone's possessions at Eldron Manor. He attended this gathering with his ostensible business partners, Mr. Gar and Mr. Kantall.

In truth, there was more to Master Currin than what was apparent. He was also secretly a master thief, and he had hired Mr. Gar and Mr. Kantall for help in making off with Lord Theone's finest treasures. In particular, Master Currin sought out a map to the Well of Life. Master Currin may have gone so far as to attempt the murder of all the other guests, using a magic item known as Eon's compass, for which he could use to warp time, but only at the cost of rapid aging. He could forestall an early death only thanks to an extended lifespan he enjoyed a half-elf.
