Mentioned in Van Richten's Guide to the Walking Dead, Madelaine was an evil sorcerer who drugged, murdered, and skinned a prostitute in order to perform some vile operation on the unfortunate's skeleton. Yet Artour herself was murdered, strangled by the prostitute's skin Artour had tossed aside that had become animated as a Restless Dead.
