According to a legend told by Semine, Lurren was the mother of the hag races. Cast out by her family for being too old and ugly, she pleaded with the gods for vengeance and Hala gave her the power to achieve what she desired. She murdered her husband and then had children with and killed her sons. The yet-to-be born fetuses were transferred to pregnant women Lurren had [[kidnapped]. When the pregnancies came to term, each birthed the first of the three major hag races.[1]
