Leadenwolf

Leadenwolf is a longsword forged by Wick of the Chibiloft Crew. The dull grey blade is made of an alloy of black mithral and shards of silver that are all that remains of the magical dagger Silverwolf.

The intelligence that once animated Silverwolf now resides in Leadenwolf, but it no longer holds any of the loyalty to Wick that it did while still a dagger. Although the longsword is not Evil, it strongly disapproves of its wielder and would be pleased to see him die. More than anything, Leadenwolf wishes to pass into the hands of a wielder who can see it for what it is and will appreciate it as both a fine weapon and an ally. It no longer holds out any hope that Wick will ever become worthy of its services.

Leadenwolf's razor-sharp edge can pierce damage reduction as both black mithral and silver can, and is enchanted so it can strike more powerfully and deal more damage than a longsword should be capable of. It retains Silverwolf's power to boost its wielder's strength and speed, but has not used these for Wick any of the times he has drawn the sword. Rather, it has learned to invert its innate magic, and actively weakens Wick and dulls his reflexes whenever he wields it. As the old Wizard remains ignorant of the fact that his blade has a mind of its own - one which actively hates him - and powers at its disposal, he tries to ignore his feelings of weakness, which he assumes are the effects of old age creeping up on him.
