Knurl was part of the Great Kingdom on the world of Oerth. Sworn to the Malachite Throne, it was overseen by an earl. It is the hometown of Firan Zal'honan (known in Ravenloft as Azalin Rex and was ruled by the Zal'honan Family as of some years before 246 CY to 391 CY, the year Azalin disappeared into the the Mists.
