Isabel de Sargas is the darklord of San Bartolomé. From a young age, Isabel use her charm and guile to manipulate people to give her the fine things she wanted while she privately considered them only toys. Meeting Fernando was a turning point for her. He resisted her attempts at seduction because he was a monk who sought to achieve enough enlightenment to become a Njelx. Isabel prayed to dark powers to transform her into one of the Njelx so he would be with her. Ezimel taught her a magic ritual to transform herself, and she performed it before flying to meet Fernando. She lied and told him she had been there to tempt him and judge his soul. However, now that his soul had been judged, she could take him away and they could be together as enlightened souls. He agreed, and they spent the night together. However, the sunrise of the next morning transformed her into a harpy formed marked by evil, and in their embrace her claws accidentally tore him to pieces.[1]

Since Fernando's death, Isabel has been the darklord of San Bartolomé. Her true form is that of a harpy with bat wings. She is able to shift her form into that of a normal humanoid for a time, but sunset or sunrise always robs her of her disguise. Beyond her considerable musical and magical abilities, Isabel's claws have the horrible power to pass her curse to other women and transform them into harpies under her command.[2]
