Helbenik is a large town, located within the midpoint of northern Valachan. It acts as a trade hub for the nearby hamlets. This focus on trade has earned Helbenik the disrespect of more isolationist Valachani communities, though this disrespect does not extend to Rotwald or Ungrad. The people of Helbenik see their situation as one of mastery over the wild and civilization simultaneously. Certainly, enduring repeated incidents of the White Fever and the predation of Baron Urik von Kharkov have put a feather in the collective cap of the community and brought its citizens closer together.
