Guiver Mythspeaker

Guiver Mythspeaker was a wizard who founded the Order of Twilight in order to help him find away out of Ravenloft through the Plane of Dreams. He made a deal with the Nightmare Man to share this way out if the Nightmare Man would not interfere. The Nightmare Man rewarded him with a dream key. However, Guiver betrayed the Nightmare Man by performing the ritual in secret, but the Nightmare Man betrayed him in return by taking back the needed dream key and replacing it with a cursed dream key. The ritual went awry, killing Guiver and all the other ritual participants. However, because of the time Guiver had carried a dream key, he became injected with the power of dreams and thus survived to become a dream wraith.

Unlike the Nightmare Man, who can exist and have power over the physical and dreaming realms, Guiver as a dream wraith only exists in the dreaming realm. This makes him bitterly envious of the Nightmare Man and his power. At the same time, Guiver has become a bit delusional in thinking he is on par in power to the Nightmare Man. At the same time, the dream key gave him some considerable dream powers of his own, and he's not above recruiting unlikely allies that might help him overthrow the Nightmare Man.
