Dr. Jean-Phillipe Moreaux is one of Talon Dunning's recurring characters in his artwork for the 3rd edition Ravenloft line. Never named in print, all details known about him are from public posts by Talon. He appears in the "humans" picture in the Ravenloft Players Handbook, among other places.
He is a "Sorcerer and a contemporary and sometimes rival of Dr. Van Richten. They knew each-other in college." "The original version was pretty out there (a sort of 2e sorcerer who could cast spontaneous spells via different combinations of Tarokka cards)...had I ever played him under 3e, he probably would have ended up gaining metaphysisican or white arcanist levels as well)."[1] "I have no idea what the story behind that scar is. It's probably something entirely non-heroic. Like his college girlfriend hit him in the face with a frying pan when he suggested that she might want to wear a dress that didn't make her ass look so big or something."[2]
