Like the girl tax, the disability tax was an oppressive tax levied upon the Gundarakite people of Gundarak by Duke Gundar. The state of Gundarak levied the tax on one if they entered a state of permanent impairment justified on the deprivation of labor such impairment would cost the state. The disability tax was part of the reason Dirca allowed her husband Torvil to die in the cold.[1]
