Day of Silent Hope

Taking place on February 3rd- the anniversary of the assassination of Duke Gundar, The Day of Silent Hope is an ethnic Gundarakite holiday commemorating the brief sense of hope and liberation they had following his death in 736 BC. These feelings didn't last- as Gundarak was subject to a new tyranny following the Annexation of Gundarak in 740 BC. Nonetheless, February 3rd remains a day of silent prayer for the Gudarakites that their lot will improve and their ability to endure will last. Prayers might be made to the Morninglord or to Nerull as the individual chooses. The Barovian boyars and burgomasters do not view the Day of Silent Hope with good favor, but the Gundarakites hide it from their view
