Category talk:Construct

OK, I'd originally proposed (in Talk:Elsepeth that NPCs only receive categories up to their "Van Richten Category". Couple issues with that:

1. The Van Richten category: "The Created" is pretty broad, and probably is synonymous with Construct, right? Or is it synonymous with Dread Golem? (see Category Talk:Animated Toys for the trouble that would lead to.)
2. The reason I proposed this was to avoid cluttering up the lists of creatures with NPCs. But I see now that this issue has sorted itself out once we made creature types into categories. That means that Construct creature types are listed as "Subcategories" and Construct NPCs are listed as "Pages". Which looks pretty nice to me.

Therefore, I propose that NPCs get category labels ALL the way up to their top-level category (as Cure has already done for some.)

(Why not all the way up to Category:monster? Well, since humans are humanoids and therefore monsters, that means EVERY NPC would be listed at the bottom of the Category:monster page. Which seems redundant with the category:NPC page at that point. So I say put every category EXCEPT Monster on every NPC. Any objections? -- Gonzoron 14:28, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

PS - at some point when we settle on these guidelines, we'll have to write them up somewhere so people don't have to hunt through 100 talk pages to find them.
