Living hair is the animate hair of a dead person whom was in life very vain. A living person whom is possessed of vanity may also create living hair from their own hair. Because of their own inherent pride, living hair attack those with above average Charisma scores. Although unnatural monsters, the living hair can serve a little filled ecological niche of scavenging hair and fur to feed upon.^[1]

The living hair monster was originally introduced in the Dragon Magazine article Formidable Visitants but was reprinted in Dungeon Magazine 76 for the House at the Edge of Midnight module. Living hair was never updated to 3rd Edition. Hence, any creature types below are speculative.
