Gaslighting is the act of intentionally driving another person to madness, that is, to provoke the effects of a failed Madness Save. In the Land of Mists, two primary means of gaslighting exists. The first is by magic, certain spells may be effective in causing insanity. Perhaps more common is gaslighting through mundane means, though this method takes more time. Gaslighting through mundane means requires first becoming a trusty party of the victim. Then the betrayer must remain close by for at least 30 days trying to subtly undermine the victim's resolve in their own sanity. At the end of such a period, an opposed Bluff and Sense Motive is made by the gaslighting and gaslighted party, respectively^[1]
